I spent the first 24 years of my career with the U.S. Coast Guard coordinating maritime Search and Rescue missions at every level of responsibility, from the radio room to Search and Rescue Mission Coordinator (SMC). I was the Rescue Coordination Center Alameda Search and Rescue Specialist/Program Manager prior to my current position at CG Headquarters in Washington D.C. My current role is to represent the U.S. Coast Guard's interest in the U.S. SARSAT program (406 beacons).
